Nightskater

This short piece came out of a winter night spent out in the moonlight. It’s an attempt to capture the solitary magic of skating alone. The footage was shot in infrared mode but because the moon was so bright on the pond, the landscape remains just visible behind the skater who disappears into and then reappears from a blue cloud of lights hovering in the night air.
