Silvia Vasilescu/shmkvsworld (b.1986, Bucharest, Romania) graduated from the National University of Arts in 2008, and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in 2012. Works as an artist curator and arts administrator. Has collaborated with different curators, artists and writers. Among those collaborations are [perplex] with Simina Neagu and Public Opinion with Christina Long, both collaborations exploring the idea of identity through different mediums. Since 2009, she has worked as an art administrator for various institutions, such as Pavilion, center for contemporary art and culture, in Bucharest; the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago; and Enclave and Fordham Gallery in London. Lives and works in Bucharest.
