Despite the high noise level, people on a loading dock in Southern Spain are constantly on the telephone. Many of the truck drivers use the site as a sort of stage, where they present themselves through their gestures. The camera investigates gestures and habits as social features of the drivers. The serial character of the footage and the rhythmic editing are references to the way the global market creates time pressures. The video rhythmically orchestrates the superimposed movements of camera, men, and machines.
