In the future things will be old. We will look to our past and attempt to recode, restore, and remaster what has come before; this process in itself presents the danger of altering or destroying the original content. As we seek to extract information with increasing intensity, the limitations of media become amplified. This series uses digitized copies of ruined 8mm movie film, exposing the degradation and subsequent distortions that occur when film is weathered by time.
