Regress is a video where I have converted a video to a soundpiece, then I have made a program that interprets audio to video. It has a duration of three minutes. The soundpiece is a result of a long study of conversion of images into sound. The intention is to make the conversion as clean, and digital as possible, to find images and patterns that have a caracteristic or interesting sound. When interpreting the soundtrack to video, I intend to go to the core or basis of what video is, light from a screen projected onto the viewer. This aggressive syncronized flickering uses both the basis and the limits of the videoformat, black and white, flickering 25 frames a second that is the limit of a TV/videoformat.
