Drumul

The remains of a cemetery can be seen along a dirt track. The track is part of a vast archaeological area, studied briefly in the 70s. The track is paved with bones, unwittingly worn away by the people as they pass by. A shepherd with a flock of sheep and a dog, a herd of cattle, some people on a picnic are the unknowingly actors of the valley, and as they are stepping on the remaining bones of the cemetery, the life takes its course and erodes death. Although it seems that the cemetery dates from the antiquity, the story can be watched as a general view on the Romania’s modern history, about the understanding of the errors of the past, debating the hidden violence behind a paradisiacal scene.
