Chronometrophobia

This art-short, featuring a 'triptych' visual style in a three-channel output, looks at the historical associations of 'Memento Mori' against modern trends - fashion, sportswear and opulence. Based around a theme of 'trilogy', it follows three concepts of human nature, as the main character passes through three stages of becoming; towards a path of 'power' (or the Memento Mori reference to death.) The title refers to 'fear of time' which is an ever present theme in this short art video focusing on the youthful body, as the clicking clock reminds us of age, activity and change. The fall of innocence is symbolised by the aggressive sexuality and sexual body displayed and the change in three separate parts of the film acknowledge the essence of growth, the time.
