Miquel Arnal
Miquel Arnal was born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1960. He started to work in the field of the photography as a laboratory technician, photographer’s assistant and floor manager. Since 1981, he has worked for the best advertising agencies and fashion designers in Madrid and Barcelona. In 1984 he started working on personal projects such as "Terra", "Urbe" and "Nus". Throughout his artistic trajectory his subject has been the human body, highlighted in the more recent series "White", "Black", "Sculpture" and "Animal". In 2004 he presents his first video "Transformer". Based on experimentation using different mediums and techniques, from polaroid to video, mural, collage, digital print and paper, we have here an example of the work of an eclectic photographer in continuous transformation. In 2006, he begins a collaboration with ob-art produccions, and realizes several videos of photo-animation: “Fish”, “RavePig”, “Octopussy”, “Jellyfish” and “”The Fly”.
