Ivanova Marta

MARTA IVANOVA (b. 1991, Russia) Currently lives and studies in Vilnius, Lithuania. Education: 2003-2010 National M.K.Čiurlionis Art School, sculpture specialty 2010-2014 BA Photography and Media Art, Vilnius Academy of Art Marta Ivanova is an interdisciplinary artist. She primarily use her own body as a means of expression and view the female body as a battlefield, as an atlas. In her works there are constant hints to strands of womanly themes and subtle critique. Every work is different, carried out with various techniques, yet precise, all while playing with womanly subthemes and juggling with intermediate situations between him and her. Artist actively use an aspect of autobiography in her works, visually speaking with her body and physical surroundings.
