Vacuum

Vacuum is about an absentminded situation, describing a common anxiety of contemporary people. I express this idea by the digital manipulation of a “fake” swing image movement and by the reproducing of the sharp sound recorded from the children played swings in the park. I started a sequence from point A to point B, in arc movement, while letting the camera shot toward the fulcrum (the viewing platform itself). Then, the same sequence was used in reverse, so the motion becomes A-B-A. The content of the sequence goes constantly back to the starting point, and time keeps going.The above-mentioned composition was repeated 24 times, so the whole process could be imagined as a history of a day.
