Max Hattler
German-born moving image artist Max Hattler studied at Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art in London. To date, he has made over 20 animation works, the most well-known of which are Collision, Spin, AANAATT, 1923 aka Heaven and 1925 aka Hell. His films have been shown at exhibitions and festivals all around the world, winning awards at 700IS Iceland; Eksjo Animation Festival; KLIK!; LIAF; LSFF; moves; Skepto; SLIFF; Videofestival Bochum; Videologia, Russia; and Visual Music Award, among others. Max has presented his audiovisual live performances internationally, and he has worked with a wide range of music acts including Basement Jaxx, Diplo, Jemapur, Jovanotti and Ladyscraper. Max lives in London where he teaches animation at Goldsmiths, and is studying towards a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at the University of East London.
