The Iris Looks Bright

In a metropolis where reality is experienced via screens, memory banks and daydream bureaus, a man decides to remove his lenses. His eyes begin to rebel. Based on contemporary society’s experience of reality and human contact through screens, mobile devices and social media, this work takes its inspiration from the condition that afflicts the characters of José Saramago’s novel, Blindness. Will this new reality of technological dependence for virtually every aspect of life change humanity at its base physiological levels?
