Based on Collodi's book and strongly influenced by Francis Bacon's paintings, Six Triptychs on the Death of a Marionette is the tragedy of flesh becoming word. Translating into images Collodi's fairy tale is a paradox itself: Pinocchio's refuse to grow up, his escape from every kind of initiatic ritual simulating death and rebirth constitutes a dialectic of impossible. In Six Triptychs we assist to a progressive rarefaction of sound and images, a continuos process of erosion of body and language.
