SEED probes the blurry beginnings of surveillance. 5 sonnets written in response to Snowden’s NSA leaks are read as found VHS footage of innocent high school students being surveilled and reframed using a smartphone. A merging of experimental film & the poetic voice relevant to the excesses of C-51. Bill C-51, or the Anti-terrorism Act, 2015 is a set of laws crafted by Stephen Harper's government which has drawn widespread condemnation for the potential threat it poses to the rights of Canadians, particularly in the domain of privacy.
