Rumour of the Murmur

An exploration of elemental textures and distinctive sounds preserved within the natural heritage around Northern Sweden. A fusion of whispering auroras, amorphous melting ice, water and sky, opening our senses to hushed voices present within the surrounding and ourselves. The work is a combination of hydrophone recordings of frozen lakes and melting ice, field recording and VLF radio transmissions emanating from the northern lights captured through a diy loop antenna. Sonic elements are combined with time lapse macro footage of melting snow and ice, and abstracted elemental nature footage.
