Past, Present, Future

“Past, Present, Future” explores the futility of action. It is a 60 second, infinite video loop with a seamless transition. Though the work is minimalistic in appearance, the act of creating it was one of technical exactitude. The man is walking in a circle with the camera at the circle’s radius. The performance is perfectly orchestrated so that the man’s first step (the first frame of the video and second 1) is perfectly aligned with his last step (the last frame of the video and second 60) thus allowing for his seemingly endless action. I am interested in exploring the technical boundaries of video without relying on digital manipulation.
