News From a Lonesome Man

Loneliness is that creature that looks at us from the bottom of the pond, giving us back in reflection. It is what grabs us by the jugular and does not let go, leaving us without air. It is what accompanies us like a stubborn shadow, like a high-pitched lapdog that grabs our trouser boot with its tiny, sharp teeth. It is a bull without eyelids, it is a path without ivy. And we can be surrounded by people, noise, passing cars, family, bills to pay, and sometimes we are just as lonely. Alone in that feeling of uneasiness in its purest form. Alone, too, in these images that haunt us until we meet.
