#BODY is a music video from a song created for THE PUMPING PIECE. In both works we deal with the overextended tendency to the body cult and body obsession from our time being. Exercise, personality enhancement or healthy behaviour patterns have to be monitored through an exhibitionist visibility of the self, that will inevitably lead us to personal success. Feeling good is less an individual aspiration, than a cultural, and political obligation. This video wants to create an aesthetic appropriation of visual languages from instagram, hip hop, dancehall and 80s music videos. Award winning video of the 'VIDEO-WETTBEWERB QUERBEET - Kulturrad NRW 20 Jahre' It was also selected to be part of the Hungry Eyes Festival (Germany), the Athens Video Dance Project (Greece) and the Tipperary Dance Platform international festival TDP’17 (UK).
