Vegetables & Housing is a short animated film opera by Günter Puller, who also wrote the libretto, composed the music, played the instruments and sang all the voices. The fact that the text is exclusively sung lends the event a fragile sensually poetic dimension that stands against an increasingly deadlocked rhetoric of discourses and attitudes. The topic of inequality is dealt with in the film on various levels. This begins with the gender reassignment of the male waiting museum visitors and ends with the transformation of people into class warriors by a female greengrocer.
