Obvious Threat

OBVIOUS THREAT is a short film about searching, dislocation, the elusiveness of identity, and the passage of time. The presence of an unidentified observer is palpable in Norrman's reworking of documentary footage he shot at a decommissioned airport terminal in Cork, Ireland. Campanella’s score is an open-ended musical system of sine tones, space telemetry, and NASA archival recordings, evoking the curiosity and uncertainty of feeling suspended between worlds; traversing unfamiliar territory. From sound-and-cinema project PARTS ARE EXTRA (2011-current): a series of short experimental videos exploring the narrative capabilities of a cinematic vocabulary that balances aural & visual content equally; Shards of meaning unfold in one unified language.
