Vasilis Papageorgiou

Vasilis Papageorgiou (b.1991 in Athens, Greece) Works certainly in the medium of drawing, but he also produces sculpture and spatial works following different techniques. His work concerns mainly the uses of public space, monumentality, and the landscape. Papageorgiou studied in the Athens School of Fine Arts, (2009- 2014), and he has completed his Erasmus scholarship in Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, Netherlands (2012-2013). He has participated in various group exhibitions and workshops, such us “Fenetre sur rue Athenes / Rouen” in Rouen, France, (2014) “Exaggeration” in ArtWall , Athens, Greece (2013), The Visit Exhibition in WDKA, Rotterdam, Netherlands (2013), Art Athina, Athens, Greece (GPO, 2013),‘Kodra Fresh’, Action Field Kodra, Thessaloniki, Greece (2013), ‘Thrills and Chills’ in Can Gallery, Athens, Greece (2013), ‘GPO present the Astro Travelers’ in Art Factory, Athens, Greece (GPO, 2012) and In Situ Workshop in Den Haan, Belgium in collaboration with In Situ department of Artesis (2012). He lives and works in Athens, Greece and is a member of GPO crew and Real Estate.
