Susan MacWilliam

Using the archive as a primary research source Susan MacWilliam's films explore the phenomena of the paranormal and the supersensory, and the traditions of psychical research. Susan has had solo exhibitions in Ireland, the UK, Canada and the US. She represented Northern Ireland at the 2009 Venice Biennale. Her films are held in the British Library Sound Archive, London. Film festivals include: Antimatter, Swedenborg Film Festival, Alchemy Film Festival, San Diego Underground Film Festival, Montreal Underground Film Festival, Stockholm Experimental and Animation Film Festival, CINESONIKA International Film & Video Festival, Portobello Film Festival. She is a lecturer in Fine Art at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland.
