Shakib Pourmohseni

In 1988, He was born in Rasht, Iran, and began his art career at age 17 by becoming a member of the Iranian Young Cinema Society. As a filmmaker, he has been made 4 short animations that have screened at over 100 festivals such as ST. Louis, Guadalajara, and Chilemonos festival that were Oscar qualified. As a photographer, he has participated in over 10 photography contests and group exhibitions such as "Art, Minorities and Social Change in Iran" at Harvard University. Furthermore, he achieved the Youth of the Year Award in Guilan province in the Animation category which was awarded by the Iranian Ministry of Sport and Youth in 2013, and also he received the Soldier of the Year Award in Art Category which was presented by the Iranian Army in 2015.
