We also have an extended version of this piece with a duration of 00:17:21, HD Video, Stereo Sound. The extended version of Tears for Lost Frequencies was installed in the Harvestworks Art and Technology Program Building at Governors Island (NY, USA) between August 30th and October 27, 2024. In the installation, HD video was accompanied by 8-channel sound via a custom speaker array.

Monica Duncan and Senem Pirler have been collaborating since 2017. Their audiovisual has been shown in numerous festivals and venues such as CUFF, Union Docs, KLEX, Revolutions Per Minute, Transient Visions, Light Matter, Athens International Film+Video, Intermediale Festival, ECRÃ, Fisura and CURRENTS New Media Festival. Duncan and Pirler performed at the 61st Ann Arbor Film Festival's Expanded Cinema program and were awarded the Harvestworks 2024 New Works residency. They have been artists-in-residence at Signal Culture (US), PACT Zollverein (Germany), and LMCC at Governors Island (NYC).
