Kenji Kojima
Kenji Kojima has been experimenting with the relationships between perception and cognition, technology, music and visual art since the early 90s. Born in Japan, and moved to New York in 1980. He had painted egg tempera paintings. A personal computer was improved rapidly during the 80's. He felt more comfortable with computer works and switched his artwork to digital in early 90’s. His early digital works were archived in the New Museum - Rhizome, New York. He created the RGB Music series, an interdisciplinary work exploring the relationship between images and music. The sound installation solo-show "Subway Synesthesia" exhibited in New York. "RGB Music News” featured internet press photographs visually and musically. "Composition Fukushima 2011" is a distillation of former “RGB Music News”. "Composition FUKUSHIMA 2011" exhibited in New York and the online of ACM SIGGRAPH. Techno Synesthesia project has exhibited in media art festivals worldwide, including Europe, Brazil.
