Apart from a few exhibitions, my film has been screened mainly at film festivals. The opportunity to showcase it at an event devoted to art rather than cinema would mean a lot to me – especially as this year's theme aligns closely with my own concerns and the questions I explore in my work.

Katharina Aae is a media artist and filmmaker based in Berlin. Since 2019 she has been studying at the University of Arts Berlin, currently in the class of Hito Steyerl. Her work has been showcased in various film festivals and group shows and spans from docu-fiction to experimental narrative film and video installation, often incorporating research and archive-based processes. Her artistic approach draws upon her previous studies in geography and social sciences.
