Franz Rosati

Franz Rosati lives and works in Rome. He is active since 2006 with live-set audio / video presented at national and European festivals. He is founder and curator of Nephogram Editions, label with which he releases both his own works and others by Italian and International musicians / sound-artists. The use of concrete and instrumental sound sources , specially recorded, transformed and deformed in real-time in dense and violent sound masses or microscopic acoustic particles projected in the space, are the cornerstones of his sound research. His live shows are usually supported by audioreactive visuals, consisting of complex 3D structures based on mathematical equations. He’s currently a professor of “Interactive Technologies Applied to Sound and Image” at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.
