Their indexical relationship to the material world allows them to be perceived as a holder of objective truth. As someone trained in the sciences, but now working as a documentarian and cinematographer I enjoy playing with imaging technology developed for science and industry. Tools such as high-speed digital cameras offer a unique insight into the world and the resulting images provides a suitable site to explore the nature of representation.
