  • Daliah Ziper is a documentary artist working with still and moving images. Her subjects vary from political to personal and from historical perspectives to spatial, experimental and a cross-disciplinary practice. She finalized her studies as Meisterschülerin in the Film Class of Thomas Arslan at University of the Arts Berlin (2017) and Master of Arts in Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts London (2011). Her works have been exhibited in film festivals, film museums and galleries in Germany and abroad. WomenCinemakers Magazine wrote about her work in the 2018 Biennial Edition. Daliah Ziper was invited to artists residencies of the Goethe Institute Tetovo (MK), Marseille (FR) and Bangalore (IN). Recently, she created the publishing platform Edition Zip (www.editionzip.com), which is perceiving film texts of essay and author films as pictorial, poetic and narrative art works that shall be transported beyond the usual cinematic context. Through books and an online archive, Edition Zip is reaching out to readers interested in social, political, cultural and personal conditions bound to geographical contexts of the filmmakers. Edition Zip publishes in original language and English translation in order to bring those narratives across geographic borders.
