Cristina Bodnarescu

Cristina Bodnărescu is an interdisciplinary artist, exploring the intersection of art and technology. The questions underlying most of her works regard the human spirit in relation to nature, adopting a posthuman perspective. Working in a wide range of digital and analogue mediums, her interests span from experimental video art to interactive installations, most of her art being deeply rooted in the powerful effects of the visual, which is found even in her sound-based works. Following her passion for image, she graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest with a BA in Photography and Time Based Arts. She is currently working and practicing as an artist, while pursuing a MA in Interactive Technologies for Performative and Media Arts at the National University of Theatre and Film ‘I.L. Caragiale’, Bucharest and a MA in Visual Studies at the University of Bucharest.
